Desolator-class Battleship The Desolator-class Battleship is an ancient design of Imperial Battleship that dates back to the very founding of the Imperium of Man in the 30th Millennium. It utilises technology long lost to the Adeptus Mechanicus in the 41st Millennium. None of these formidable vessels now remain in Imperial service, and all now serve the Forces of Chaos.
Acheron-class Heavy Cruiser The Chaos Acheron-class Heavy Cruiser is an unusual starship in many ways. It was originally designed by the Imperial Navy to serve as a test bed for a new series of weapons based on the analysis of ancient -- and possibly xenos -- weaponry designs uncovered by the Adeptus Mechanicus in Sector 51, also the home of the ill-fated Portis Cthulhus. Whether the vessel's subsequent defection to the service of Chaos during the Gothic War is related to this unconventional origin is still debated by Imperial naval scholars. The project was evidently a success, producing a starship with a formidable array of long-ranged weapons batteries and even longer-ranged Lances that would ultimately become the basis for the design of the Overlord-class Battlecruiser. No longer needing a test subject, only one Acheron-class cruiser, the unnamed BF/67-A was ever built by the Imperium. Unfortunately, the powerful vessel eventually fell to Chaos during the Gothic War and finally earned its name, dubbed the Chaos Eternus by Imperial Admiral Grove.
Slaughter-class Cruiser A Slaughter-class Cruiser is one of the fastest Imperial capital starships ever built, though these vessels now belong to an infamous class of Cruisers often utilised by the Chaos Fleets of the Ruinous Powers.
Hellbringer-class Light Cruiser The Imperial Navy's Battlefleet Koronus experts are unsure whether the Chaos Hellbringer-class Light Cruiser is a local adaptation of an existing warship, or a new design constructed in the Koronus Expanse of the Segmentum Obscurus and based on other infamous designs used by Chaos reavers. Whatever the case, the crews of Hellbringers live for only one purpose -- pillaging planetary civilisations, be they the lackey worshippers of the Corpse Emperor, xenos of unknown origin, or even other followers of the Dark Gods. Arriving at unsuspecting star systems, these powerful planetary assault vessels can launch overwhelming attacks from both their powerful shipboard weaponry as well as via a multitude of common Chaotic Attack Craft. Once the surface of the victim world is bombarded into near submission, the skies are filled with landing boats, quickly overwhelming any opposition as they round up captives for the slave market, looting any valuables for later trade, and then departing before any help or reinforcements can arrive. It is rarer, but not unheard of, for them to attack void installations they find undefended, bringing such destruction that the gutted space stations are generally left as floating hulks. No matter the target, the arrival of a Hellbringer can only spell doom.
